Hammerwood & Holtye Hall

Hammerwood is a small hamlet nestling in an area of outstanding natural beauty just off the A264 from East Grinstead to Tunbridge Wells with stunning views across to the Ashdown Forest.   It has a Village Hall, which is available for private hire, a church, which is sadly now closed and at the end of the lane is Hammerwood Park, a privately owned Grade 1 listed historic house.

About Our Hall

Our village hall is a light and airy community space run by a team of enthusiastic volunteers, providing social facilities for local residents and the wider community. It is ideal for private functions such a children’s parties, coffee mornings, exercise classes and some indoor sports like table tennis or short mat bowls.

It is located on the edge of the small hamlet of Hammerwood in any area of outstanding natural beauty between East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells.

Hall Hire

Our hall is available for hire to all for any suitable events at very competitive rates.

The cost to hire includes the use of the kitchen and functional tables and chairs. The hall has recently been fitted with improved heating and lighting facilities. Any profits from the hire of the hall go towards the upkeep of the hall.

The Hall is a registered charity and relies heavily on its hiring to support the upkeep of the Hall and to maintain its facilities for the support of the community.

This is a lovely community space for hire

Hammerwood & Holtye Hall is situated on the Holtye Road at the corner of the entrance to Hammerwood. It provides light and airy facilities with a fully fitted kitchen, seating and tables. Its full seating capacity is for approximately 80 people. The Hall has wheelchair access and off road parking for 15 cars.
